Powder Coating – A painting system that is built to last.

Powder coating is a method by which electrically charged powder coating material is applied to the aluminum shutter through an electrostatic process. Electrostatic attraction holds the powder to the shutter until heat is added to fuse the powder and aluminum together. The paint actually adheres to the aluminum using and electric current, which is more durable and longer lasting than simple wet paint.

Powder Coating is also a much more energy efficient choice than other options. The application process for powder coating emits far less hazardous waste than other methods and the final product is an exceedingly more durable, long-lasting shutter with an aesthetically pleasing and consistent finish. The application process of powder coating goes through 3 steps; pre-treatment, powder coating, and curing. Check out our blog post on Powder Coating for a more detailed explanation of our 3-step application process.

The powder coating system at LAS lowers the cost of the shutter and can provide faster turn around time to you. There is no middle man. LAS can also match custom colors.

At LAS we design the shutter, we manufacture and build the shutter, we install the shutter, and we warrant the shutter. For more information about our shutters of to request a free estimate, click here.
